Southbourne Infants School

Thorney Island School

Compton Up Marden

Compton Up Marden is now a mixed year R and year 1 class so Doodle Dance has added another feature to this terms programme. As well as some previously used sensory props new props have been added as well as new ideas. Jo has also added the Doodle Dance Story Book to the programme allowing children to contribute words, narratives and dynamic of the props to the book. The teacher has then been adding photos and additional ideas from class, producing a celebratory book of the children's work!

'Get Set what you can do!' is in its 3rd term at Compton Up Marden with the new Year 2 and 3s with Mr Shaw. Previously we learnt about light and rivers. This half term we are doing more body based work creating narrative. We have already been working with the image of the body as a book: exploring the spine, the skin of the book and the story we all have within us!! Journey and characters will be explored as well as links to Titanic topic.
